The Role
We are looking to recruit a Senior Receptionist to join our Reception team at our Head Office in Barrow-in-Furness.
This is a full-time, permanent role supporting the Reception Manager with the day-to-day supervision and coordination of the Reception team, ensuring the delivery of a professional, welcoming and efficient service.
The successful candidate will act as a senior operational presence within the Reception team, helping to prioritise work, maintain excellent service standards and ensure any issues are resolved promptly or escalated appropriately.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Reception Manager with the day-to-day supervision and coordination of the Reception teamCoordinate daily reception activities to ensure the service runs smoothly and professionallyProvide day-to-day guidance, support and mentoring to ReceptionistsAllocate work, monitor workloads and help ensure consistent standards across the teamProvide a warm, professional and efficient welcome to clients and visitorsAnswer and direct incoming telephone calls promptly and courteouslyDeal with enquiries professionally, resolving where possible or directing to the appropriate departmentTake client payments, issue receipts where required and ensure payment information is recorded accurately in line with company proceduresManage visitor sign-in procedures and ensure protocols are followedProvide administrative support to the departments as requiredManage post, meeting room bookings, diaries, and appointment systems where requiredAssist in maintaining a safe, tidy and welcoming office environmentSupport the completion of allocated Health & Safety checks and reception-related Health & Safety responsibilitiesMaintain confidentiality and comply with GDPR, anti-money laundering procedures, regulatory requirements and company policiesIdentify opportunities to improve reception processes and efficiency
You will have
Reception experience, ideally within a busy customer service environmentExperience supervising, coordinating or mentoring colleaguesExcellent customer service and communication skillsA professional telephone manner and confident, approachable mannerStrong organisational skills and attention to detailThe ability to prioritise multiple tasks and remain calm under pressureGood problem-solving ability and the confidence to escalate issues where appropriateA high level of discretion and confidentialityA proactive, flexible and collaborative approach, leading by example and fostering a positive team culture.Confidence using Microsoft Office applicationsExperience within a professional services organisation such as legal, property, financial or similar is desirable
