Martin qualified as a solicitor in 1990. For the last 30+ years, he has been helping clients with their future planning, for both themselves and their families.
With extra financial qualifications in investment, mortgages, life insurance and pensions he is highly experienced and plays a key part in the 'all round' service that the Poole Townsend legal team are able to provide. He leads a team of three lawyers and six support staff who have built up good long-term relationships with a wide variety of these clients and their families, many of which, have continued into the next generation.

After attending Newcastle University and York Law School, Joanne qualified as a lawyer in 1991. Joanne returned to her native Barrow-in-Furness and joined Poole Townsend. She specialises in all aspects of injury work and is a Member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.

Joanne’s friendly and professional approach ensures each client is instantly placed at ease when discussing personal and distressing events. She will offer support throughout your case and her friendly team are always available to answer any queries that you may have.

After completing his law degree at Liverpool University, Trystan trained with Poole Townsend, qualifying in 1993. He works almost exclusively in criminal defence. As a specialist, he has defended clients charged with a wide range of offences from motoring offences through to high profile cases involving serious drugs conspiracies, sexual offences, violence and murder.

He is a Law Society accredited 24 hour Police Station and Court Duty Solicitor and has established a reputation for aggressively advancing the rights and defence of his client.

Joanne joined the team in 2010 having completed her Law Degree and Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Trent University. Following training within the firm she qualified as a Solicitor in December 2015 and has been working in our Milnthorpe office ever since. Joanne specialises in Private Client work including lifetime planning for her clients and the administration of estates as well as dealing with all aspects of Residential Conveyancing.

Joanne qualified as a Solicitor in 2009 after completing her degree in accounting and law at the University of Manchester and Legal Practice Course at the University of Central Lancashire. She has over 10 years experience in the private client department and over 5 years experience in Conveyancing, however now specialises in Wills and Probate matters.

Daniel qualified as a solicitor in 2011. He is experienced in dealing with all aspects of residential conveyancing, including but not limited to sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity. He also deals with the drafting and approval of leases and lease extensions. He also acts for clients in the buying or selling of businesses.

Rochelle qualified as a solicitor in 2018, having joined Poole Townsend in 2013. She specialises in Residential Conveyancing but also assists with commercial conveyancing matters. She has an extensive knowledge of property sales and purchases, dealing with both freehold and leasehold properties, as well as new builds. Rochelle also has experience with lifetime mortgages, transfers of equity and remortgage work.

Heather qualified as a solicitor in 2019 having completed her Law degree at Edge Hill University and her Legal Practice Course at Manchester Met. Heather joined Poole Townsend in 2021 and focuses on residential conveyancing.
