Cleaning up in sales

Spring is finally here, allegedly. A time for new beginnings. And traditionally a time for the property market to spring into life.

In reality, the market has been active since the beginning of the year having returned to a market very similar to that of 2019. A healthy market with equal amounts of influence from both buyers and sellers. One with a small degree of negotiation on asking prices in most cases but where the right property at the right price will still go at or above an asking price.

However, as always, the Easter and Spring market is triggering a rise in property marketing and sales. As the weather becomes nicer and gardens burst into life people are venturing out to view property. Viewing diaries are filling quickly and offers are flooding in. So if you’re thinking of selling, now is the time to get your property ready to show the world.

That dreaded Spring clean can make a whole world of difference both inside and outside of the property. Presentation has a huge impact on a viewers first impression and we all know how important these can be.Anything from a quick tidy round to a fresh coat of paint can help. Clean, fresh and bright matches in with the season and presenting a property with minimal distractions allows a viewer to concentrate on the space and layout of the rooms. Our team have put together their top tips on how to stage your property for sale.

The same goes for the outside. Tidy gardens and vibrant colours bring a pleasant scene to any outside spaces, be it sprawling lawn or courtyard garden. Seating spaces can offer a peaceful retreat or an entertaining epicentre and showcase the versatility of a property. Again see our top tips for making your garden Spring ready for sale, or drop into one of our offices to have a chat with one of our local negotiators.
