These last few weeks have helped us all realise that friends, family and freedom are not to be taken for granted. Enforced isolation and lockdown rules have meant that many of us have not had the chance (or some the inclination) to leave the safety of our homes. Our lives of the past seem a long way away from this strange ‘new normal’.
However, as I write this, we are edging our way back into the world and the workplace. The roads seem to be getting busier and towns and villages are springing into socially distanced life. As the country begins to rouse from an enforced economic slumber estate agents have been once again allowed to venture outside.
Working from home has meant that we have been able to continue to provide the best service possible for our clients. We have been busy maintaining sales, revolutionising our marketing approaches and making lists of people who wanted to view a house or have a property valued. We have been prepared to recommence further aspects of our agency when the word was given (even if it was only 12 hours notice!).
It is a blessing to be allowed out on the road again. The same four walls, as I’m sure you can appreciate fully, begin to become tiresome and the sunny weather has been trying to beckon us all outside. That said the gift of the outside world comes with a huge responsibility. We have been diligent in implementing the best preventative and protective measures we can for all of our clients who wish to view or have a valuation. PPE has been provided to all of our viewers and valuers, disinfectant and handwash have become our new best friends and socially distanced appointments have been put in place.
The good news is that the diaries have been full since we returned. People are viewing properties, marketing houses and most importantly buying them again. Long may that continue! Interested in arranging a viewing or valuation? Contact us today.
