Given the current environment, it comes as no surprise that many of us have more time on our hands. With this extra time comes even more opportunities to focus on whats important and look over what you have. This is increasingly evident as more and more people are looking to update their Wills.
According to deVere Group, a financial consultancy; the demand for Wills has increased by 76% over the past 2 weeks. We have also seen an increase in our own Will enquiries at Poole Townsend too!
Your first question might be: ‘how could this be possible given the process involved?’ But you may be unaware just how much of this can be done over the phone with a Will writing expert. And most of the time the forms can be signed and posted to a solicitor so long as it has been witnessed by a third party. Obviously there are exceptions to this where the papers need to be signed in person.
We are already finding ways to make sure the process can be finalised. Joanne Armer, one of our fantastic solicitors; recently conducted the process on a bench with a client who lives alone, meaning there was no witnesses available for a postal submission. But don’t worry, they made sure to maintain social distancing!
If you are mulling things over at the moment, why not contact our experts who can provide you with all the advice you need. In these uncertain times, we will strive to do what’s best for you.
