Martin studied Law at University of East Anglia, and York College of Law, came to Poole and Son (as it was then) in 1989 and never managed to find his way out again.

Martin became a Partner in 1998 and is Head of Department for Wills and Tax planning and Estates administration. Martin enjoys challenging tax planning problems and particularly likes helping clients to keep their money away from the taxman. He enjoys working with older clients who have particular issues and needs which over 20 years of experience helps Martin deal with in a caring but light hearted way.
Martin's hobbies included skiing and collecting/moving sports equipment round in his garage (eg mountain bike, windsurfing gear) to stop the dust getting too deep. He loves music, likes films, hates TV Soap Operas and reality TV shows. Also loves food and tries to keep fit but fitness is rarely the priority.
Martin has one daughter, Kate, now at Dowdales and making her father proud.
