The Legal Services market has now opened up to non lawyers to give legal advice. You will be able to pop into your local supermarket and talk to a legal adviser, but they will not be a qualified solicitor. You may be given incorrect advice, or they may instruct an out of town solicitor to make contact with you – over the phone.
We have had a presence in Barrow-in-Furness for over 100 years and built up an enviable reputation as down to earth, straight talking professional solicitors. We have a wide spread of specialist knowledge at our six branches throughout Furness and the South Lakes and are able to advice on a number of areas where individuals, families and businesses need advice.
We can offer professional advice on Wills, Trusts, Estates Planning, Family Law, Conveyancing, Personal Injury and Criminal Law.
Poole Townsend is supporting the Law Society’s campaign, ‘Choose Quality Advice’ which is to be launched at the end of this month to encourage people to use qualified solicitors for legal advice.
Remember, your first interview is free and we regularly see clients with, or without a prior appointment. We also run weekly free legal surgeries every Wednesday afternoon, which are very popular. You see advice costs nothing, but getting the right advice from a qualified solicitor is priceless.
We set out our advice clearly and we tell you at the start what it will cost. Some work like, wills, trusts and estate planning, can be undertaken on a fixed fee so that you know exactly where you are. We are cheerful, helpful and down to earth.
If you have a legal query, call us on (01229) 811811 to tell us the area of advice you need and you will be given a free first appointment with a specialist lawyer. We have offices in Barrow, Dalton, Ulverston, Grange, Milnthorpe and Kendal.
