New Year - New Build

With the festive season over, and the New Year here, now may be the time to think about your next move. Did you know that a newly built home can save you money!

One way you can save money in the New Year is to make your next property purchase a new build property. That’s because new build homes are constructed to very strict insulation guidelines, making them cheaper to heat and saving you money.

Most new builds are ‘B’ graded in energy efficiency, not bad when the national average is ‘F’, making them cheaper to heat. And, as well as saving money on your heating, a new build can also save you money on maintenance costs. A large majority of new build and new conversions are backed up with either a nationally recognised warranty such as the National House Building Council (NHBC) 10 year warranty, or a certificate of satisfactory completion from a qualified Architect. These warranties insure you against damage or defects to your new home for the first two years from the date of legal completion and damage to specified parts of your home (usually structural damage) in years 3 to 10. All of this gives you peace of mind that it is unlikely you are going to have to spend money on your new home within the first 10 years, unless of course you want to.

For most people, when they think of newly built homes, they think of them being without character or uniqueness. Well think again! Poole Townsend have been marketing a number of new builds throughout Furness and the South Lakes that have character, charm and a uniqueness about them.

As one of the largest independent Estate Agent’s in the area, Poole Townsend is a leading agent for marketing newly built homes and conversions. Four new build sites they are currently marketing are 3 and 4 bed town houses at Holbeck Rise in Barrow, offering unique three storey living; beautifully constructed 3 bed semi’s at Crozier Close in Barrow; Wilkinson View in Backbarrow, near Newby Bridge and a development of newly converted luxury apartments at competitive prices in Millom.
