Auction Success
A lively crowd gathered at the Pennington Memorial Hall on Thursday 10th April 2008 to bid for Rowe House, a traditional 2 bed cottage situated in the heart of the village of Pennington.
The new owners, Mr & Mrs Mew paid £149,000 for the property and plan to renovate and occupy it as soon as possible. They currently own another property in the area that they have recently renovated.
Auctioneer, Howard Whittaker comments: “We had a very good turn out for this auction. Poole Townsend promoted it very well and the atmosphere in the room was electric”.
Martin Brownsord, Valuer and Property Department Manager, adds: “I was delighted with the result of the auction and the final price achieved for our clients. This shows there is still a lot of activity in the local market and that despite the recent talking down from the national press, purchasers are still out there”.
