    HEAD OF CONVEYANCING

    This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified solicitor or licensed conveyancer to lead a busy and successful property team and manage a varied caseload. This is a key role that will offer the opportunity to progress your career by introducing innovative ways of working to drive the conveyancing department forward.

    The successful candidate will be a confident practitioner with substantial conveyancing knowledge and experience together with the ability to manage and mentor a team of conveyancers at different levels. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a clear commitment to customer service are essential and knowledge and practical experience of managing CQS/Lexcel compliance etc. will be a distinct advantage.

    Poole Townsend is a busy and successful firm of Solicitors/Estate Agents and Financial Advisers operating from 6 branches throughout Furness and the SouthLakes. We are currently looking to recruit the following role:

    Secretary (Conveyancing) based in Kendal – Full Time

    Your role will provide secretarial and administrative support to our Conveyancing fee earners and will involve proactively assisting with the progression of matters and maintaining an efficient and professional service to our clients. In addition, you will undertake some basic office administration for Kendal office as a whole.

    You must be customer focused and have excellent organisational and communication skills to enable you to plan and prioritise your workload to meet deadlines. Team work and Competent IT skills are essential.

    A qualification to RSA level II word processing (or equivalent experience), experience of audio typing and knowledge/Experience of Secretarial/Legal procedures is desirable however, these qualifications and experience are not essential as we will provide full training to the right candidate.
