Staff donate prize money to the flood appeal

Staff at Poole Townsend were so moved by the recent flooding that has affected much of South Cumbria that they made the decision this week to donate their team prize money to help local people affected by the flooding.

Through the year staff within the company are awarded money for providing Customer Service initiatives across the Legal, Property and Financial Services departments. The funds are usually used for a team get together, but, after the local disastrous events of 10 days ago staff members Lucy Ruanne (pictured) and Claire Leroy suggested that this money was used instead to help those affected this Christmas, a decision agreed upon by all.

The Partners of the firm also contributed to make the fund up to £2,500.

Derek Pearce, partner commented “Many of our team have family, friends or neighbours who have been affected by the recent floods. We are a local business who have worked in South Lakes for a number of years and we are proud that our team wanted to make this gesture.
