A massive congratulations to Marie Woodward, our Independent Financial Advisor, who after months of exams and courses has been awarded a SOLLA accreditation. SOLLA stands for Society of Later Life Advisors, of which there are only 250 of these advisors in the whole country.
With people living longer and an increasing number of people moving into care in their later years, this is an area where more people are going to need advise. The Care Act 2014 comes into force in April 2016, which suggest there will be a cap on care costs of £72,000…which is not actually true as the cap only relates to an element of the cost of care. In actual fact a person would need to spend about £180,000 on care before they reached the £72,000 cap.
Information like this is important for people planning for their later years and now Marie can offer invaluable advice and guidance to our customers.
