Grange is a stunning Edwardian holiday town built from local limestone on the edge of Morecambe Bay, the railway provides clear links between local towns and cities and is efficient and timely.
On the hillside of Hampsfell, many of the beautiful limestone houses have views across Morecambe Bay, a famous view- recognized nationally!
Grange is home to lots of lovely little independent shop's including the bakery and butchers. There are many parks and a long pier complete with skate park and swimming pool. There is a slow, relaxed ambiance to the town that resonates across all aspects of the sleepy Cumbria hillside. A fantastic place for walks and outdoor sports, Grange attracts a wide variety of people to the area. Traffic through the town is limited as the main roads through to Kendal and the M6 are easily accessible and yet silent within the town itself.
Close to more central Lake District towns, which will provide endless walks, hikes, bike rides, boat trips and shopping. Grange is an ideal place for a family to live. Day trips into the more touristy landscapes are perfect for weekend entertainment and there are regular farmers markets as well as Cartmel racecourse not far away.
The local primary schools are good and there are many secondary options, as well as private schools within the Lake District. The active train line makes commuting to work/school easy, with quick access to Lancaster, where there is a Grammar school, and a fantastic University.
We've chosen an attractive three-bedroom detached family home providing well proportioned internal accommodation throughout. The property boasts a convenient central location within Grange over Sands and features off-road parking, garage and gardens. A delightful property which does require some modernization
